Getting caught up!

Since I haven't written in a few months, here is a brief update of what has happened since my last post.

* Our trip to France was AMAZING. It was the perfect mix of spending time with family, touring, good eating, city, country, art, architecture and exploration. We had such a wonderful time and are so grateful for the incredible hospitality and generosity of all the wonderful family we stayed, ate, and laughed with! Madeleine was great traveling and we are so glad she was with us. We are already looking forward to going back and hope it won't be too long.

* Among the other fun things we got to do this summer, we were spoiled to get to join Dan's family for a week in the OBX, and then Madeleine and I got to spend 2 weeks with my family in the Adirondack Mountains. Our summer was not short on fun and we love our wonderful, generous families!!!

IT'S NEVER TO EARLY TO PRACTICE SURFING.

* Daniel started his new job at the Hanover Research Council as a Researcher, and is busy working a 9-5 writing for them. It was a tough transition going from a school schedule to a work schedule, but we have all adjusted and we are so grateful for the Lord's provision for us.

* I am currently watching a beautiful 10 month old little girl named Eliza in the mornings during the week. She is quickly becoming Madeleine's best friend, and it is so fun getting to watch them play and interact. It is a lot of work, almost like having twins, but I am loving it. I am also teaching a Middle School drama class part time at Covenant, working with amazing and talented students.

* Madeleine continues to grow and change everyday. She started walking a few weeks ago and is into everything. She continues to bring us so much joy and watching her curiously discover the world around her, opens my eyes to see things anew. It is hard to believe she is almost one! Time certainly flies.
